Imperial stout with flavors of black coffee, caramel, bitter chocolate, toffee, and dried plums. Has a lingering roasty finish with a hop backbone.

A nice dark brown that only vaguely threatens black, decent clarity and really nice head retention with some lacing.

Nose is big on heavily toasted bread toasted malt notes. Roasted malts drive the taste as well, with a metallic note of chicory and a some what light, dry finish. There’s a more typical piney hop note in the end, blended well with the malt profile previously described.

A pretty solid stout, straightforward with a strong near-charred roasted malt presence. Good enough to make more of, though eventually a name change would be needed.
