Served in a snifter
This beer pours a brilliant amber hue. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves spotty lacing.
I can really smell the honey. No subtlety here. I get some pear. The smell reminds me of a Belgian strong pale ale with the Belgian yeast spicy esters.
The honey is overt in the flavor. I get some stone fruit flavor specifically pear.
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
I am pleasantly surprised at how good this is. Smooth and tasty.
