Barrel Aged Kona Stout

This barrel aged aged coffee stout ain’t bad. Poured on draft it is nearly black with abundant mocha foam. Aroma is coffee, oak barrel, and chocolate. Taste is tons of coffee, boozy barrel with notes of oak and vanilla, sweet chocolate syrup, alcohol warming, a hint of roasty malt. It is at once too sweet and too boozy, yet these factors kind of play off each other and then there is this steeped coffee taste going on. Kind of schizophrenic with too many bold flavors competing for attention, but then again I enjoyed it.
