Off white head which sticks through the tasting. Some 3D streaks on the glass. The liquid has a fine haze. The color is a deep, dirty copper color.
Mild, mostly caramel malt aroma. The hop is definitely subdued--it shows up mostly in a floral form. Reminds me of an English IPA.
The flavor matches the nose quite closely retaining the English roots. Biscuity malt flavors, not sweet at all. The hop is soft compared to the malt providing a straight up bitterness. The yeast provides a bit of bite as well. Fuller body with lower than expected carbonation (further enhancing the English experience). Alcohol warmth is minimal.
