A: Pours an opaque yet still clear extremely dark mahogany brown in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly along the edges of the glass and moderate dark cola brown + chestnut brown + ruby red colored highlights. The beer has a four finger tall dense fizzy foamy beige head that slowly reduces to a medium sized two finger tall dense foamy cap in the center of the glass surrounded by a large patch of medium thick film covering a little more than 75% of the surface of the beer and a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of toasted + caramel + bready + biscuit + honey malts with a light to moderate amount of honey + caramel dark fruit (fig) sweetness. Light to moderate aromas of earthy + floral + spicy + herbal hops. Hints of yeastiness.
T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of toasted + caramel + bready + biscuit + honey malts with a light to moderate amount of honey + caramel dark fruit (fig) sweetness. That is followed by hints of yeastiness. Finally there are light flavors of earthy + floral + spicy + herbal hops which impart a light amount of lingering bitterness.
M: Light to medium bodied with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a light mouthfeel. Slightly over carbonated but still enjoyable. Did not have a problem finishing the entire 750 ml bottle on my own.
