On tap at brewery:
Pours a hazy pale gold with a little blushed peach thrown in. Head doesn’t last and forms a fishing wire ring that somehow throws a few specks of lace on the glass.
Nose is very fruity with a slightly dank to rotten citrus side to it. Cantaloupe and mango, mainly, it’s actually got a slightly fruit blossom sweet aspect to it, odd for a brut.
Taste follows the nose but with a little more weight thrown to the dank notes. The beer doesn’t dry out as completely as other brit IPAs I’ve had, but ends fairly clean and dry to fit the style well enough, I’d say.
I actually quite liked this beer as a tropical/citrus fruity IPA outright because it did have a drier, fairly bitter ending.
