West coast IPA according to the label...cool design with a UFO on the nose of a very scary looking black alien who looks like Green Back in Danger Mouse. I'm not sure where the duck is, but I prefer aliens so it's ok.
Super foamy. Looks great. Extra marks for the alien frog alien duck thing.
Aroma is mega deep and bitter and exciting. Not as fruity or apricotty as an actual West Coast IPA. But in it's own way, amazing.
Taste is super strong and kind of not what I was expecting. It tastes kind of off, not sure what is happening if I am honest. But still quite bitter. I am mega open minded in reference to beers and have tried lots, this is kind of strange however. Definitely not at all fruity or apricotty like a West Coast IPA. I'm not even sure how to describe this...I'm going to let it warm up a bit, maybe it will start making more connections to my tongue neurons. Yes I have neurons in my tongue. Maybe.
As it warms up, it improves for sure. It improves massively in fact. I should probably make my fridge slightly warmer than 1 centigrade. But for budget pilsners, 1 is perfect. The flavour is mega complex, and reminds me of some beers that I had in Poland. There is a bar in Warsaw called Plan B in fact, that I have been to many times. I'm not sure if there is a connection.
If I try to describe the taste again...let's see. It has the individual flavours of West Coast IPA within it, but they are just totally intermixed with a mega weird bitter heavy flavour that I cannot describe. It feels complex on the tongue, but the taste is not really at all pleasant.
The scariest beer I have ever tried. And it's definitely not a duck. Yes I am scared of this "duck" for sure. But I will still drink it all, because it's beer. Now back to plan A.

Hazy dark amber color with white head, aroma is malty and fruity, taste starts medium sweet, ends with a hoppy bitterness,
medium body and carbonation.
