This beer is honesty hard to find in the Calgary area, being so popular that it is often sold out in liquor stores around town. If you can find it, check it out, because it’s a real balanced Citra & Simcoe Hopped NEPA. It has a real natural juiciness to it that leads to a sweeter finish, why they call it “Cloud Juice”. I also like that the ABV is on the lower end of 5.5%, making it more sessionable and believe me this goes down almost too easy.
The only minor complaint I have is I wish there was slightly more hops added to it, maybe even adding a more bitter third hop profile would take it to the next level of the real enviable Canadian beers. That said, it’s still as good as you’ll find in Calgary, an underserved area for too long. This is honestly almost a Citra Ale for me, but you’ll like it whatever it is. I’ve still be unable to find the Wave Pool IPA from 88. That’s up next for me if I can catch it somewhere.

Appearance - Pours a cloudy peach with two fingers of bubbly white head.
Smell - Citrus hops, pineapple, passionfruit, biscuity malts, earthy yeast.
Taste - A nice punch of citrus and tropical hops with flavours of pineapple and passionfruit. Malts and yeast support the powerful hop flavour. Pleasant level of bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes a tad sticky.
Overall - Another truly enjoyable brew from the folks at '88. Very sessionable and flavourful.

Pretty solid NEPA. Good aroma, reasonable bitterness and very drinkable. Comes off a bit thin for the style, but is fairly low ABV at just 5.5%. Definately suitable for having a few in a sitting.
