Appearance - Pours a rusty copper red with two fingers of off-white head with some pleasant lacing on the glass
Smell - belgian candi, fruity esters (plum, raisin), earthy hops, spicy earthy yeast, banana, hint of apple, and toffee malts.
Taste - belgian candi followed by the fruity esters of plum and raisin. The earthy hops, spicy earthy yeast, toffee malts come through next. The brew concludes with the spicy earthy yeast, banana, and hint of apple.
Mouthfeel - Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes with pleasant stickiness with the malts and fruity esters lingering.
Overall - A well balanced and flavourful dubbel. The flavours are spot on and this one can compete with the best of the best. I'm highly impressed with the quality that is coming from these guys!
