Part of '88's recent small batch brews for the holiday season.
Poured from a howler from the taproom.
Appearance - Pours a bright gold with two fingers of frothy bubbly white head.
Smell - tropical and citrus hops, lemon, tangerine, grapefruit peel, passionfruit, hint of pineapple, hint of pine resin, bready malts, and earthy yeast.
Taste - tropical and citrus hops upfront followed by the lemon, tangerine, grapefruit peel, passionfruit, hint of pineapple and pine resin. The bready malts and earthy yeast finish the brew off.
Mouthfeel - Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes off-dry with a pleasant bitterness from the hops.
Overall - Another solid IPA from the folks at '88. This one is truly sessionable and is a stand out in the ISA category. The hop bitterness is bang on but remains quite sessionable at 4.4%. Great job '88.
