"On That Hop Game"
Poured from a howler from the Brewer's Apprentice.
Appearance - Pours a clear gold with four fingers of frothy white head that leaves some decent looking lace on the glass.
Smell - belgian yeast, citrus, grassy, and tropical hops, pineapple, pear, citrus, banana, bready malts, and spicy earthy yeast.
Taste - belgian yeast upfront followed by the bold citrus, grassy, and tropical hops. The pineapple, pear, citrus, and banana follow next. The bready malts and spicy earthy yeast finish the brew off.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the hops and yeast lingering.
Overall - A flavourful and bold Belgian IPA that delivers a bold punch from the yeast and is supported by the hops and malts. This brew is as if a saison and a IPA had a baby. Another greatly brewed IPA from the folks at '88.
