"Canada’s dessert of choice. Liquefied."
Poured from a growler from the Brewer's Apprentice.
Appearance - Pours a jet cola black with three fingers of creamy mocha head.
Smell - cocoa, lactose, roasted malts, bittersweet chocolate, vanilla bean, earthy and leafy hops, graham crackers, coconut, and earthy yeast.
Taste - A strong and bold presence made from the cocoa, lactose, bittersweet chocolate, vanilla bean, coconut, graham crackers upfront. The roasted malts, earthy and leafy hops, and earthy yeast finish the brew off.
Mouthfeel - Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth and a tad on the sweet side but considering it's a dessert it's quite alright.
Overall - A well executed stout from the folks at '88! They truly nailed the staple Canadian dessert to a tee. Truly a stand out of a beer! Well done '88!
