Poured from a howler purchased from '88.
"Dark as Night"
A collaboration brew with Last Best Brewing.
Appearance - Pours a dark brown with two fingers of bubbly mocha tan head.
Smell - earthy and leafy hops, roasted malts, dark fruits (prune, plum, raisin), burnt caramel aromas, blackstrap molasses, and earthy yeast.
Taste - earthy and leafy hops upfront. The roasted malts, dark fruits (prune, plum, raisin), and caramel follow suit. The blackstrap molasses and earthy yeast rounds out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Full bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth with the ingredients lingering alongside the warmth from the alcohol.
Overall - A bold, complex, and enjoyable brew. This one is a definitely a sipper as the ABV is well hidden in this one.
