I was stunned to learn that this beer was the latest seasonal offering from the Hop Have Brew Haus for the summer months. One would think this should be released in the cooler months.
Beer is a dark amber with little or no head. Malty smell of this brew mixed with damp cardboard. Beer was rather sweet and not too filling like most beers in this style tend to be. Maybe it was the lack of this, that gave way to a lower score. Just didn't seem like there was much there. Maybe it was the the time of year Summer in the 90's.
I would agree with fellow reviewer that this beer seems "young" for a lager. Having been to this facility a number of times I don's think they are set up for brewing lagers which require a longer shelf life and cooler temperatures.

( Served in an American pint glass)
A- This brew pours a mahogany color with a slight hazy and a creamy off-white thick head.
S- Aroma of lightly roasted malts and a hint of fresh grain.
T- There is a rich caramel malt taste with a supporting hint of hoppy bitterness. It has a strong alcohol taste as well.
M-This beer has a bit of a fizzy light mouthfeel and alcohol warmth but no astringency.
D- This is a nice beer but pretty young to drink. It still taste pretty hot and could use some more lagering. The malt characters would also come together a bit more too.
