This is a 12oz. bottle poured into a 20oz. weizen glass. This stout pours a very dark, impossible to see carbonation. The head is a solid one finger of tan foam. The foam settled back to an eighth inch cap with some thick lacing left behind.
The nose picks up the sweet chocolate and subtle coffee notes.
The taste follows the nose perfectly, with sweet coffee flavors and a dry, somewhat bitter coffee finish. The coffee notes complement the sweet chocolate very nicely. At first I thought this was going to be way to sweet but the coffee flavors settled the sweetness in a hurry. There is a slight alcohol taste to the finish also.
This stout is smooth(velvety) with a full feel.
I like the sweetness upfront with the bitter dry finish.
This is a good after dinner, dessert stout. My guess is that the ABV is somewhat high. I wish I had more of these to sample. This was given to me by a good buddy. Thanks Kevin!

Favourite beer of my visit. Subtle notes of chocolate and coffee that come together well with the red velvet flavour. Made with locally sources coffee (Beres Brothers) so you have to love that!
