Waypost nails the farmhouse vibe and then some! They have a wide selection of beers on tap, including some rustic-styled ales along with a solid lager program. The beers I have tried have been interesting, while restrained. In my notes I wrote that I thought these were some of the best beers I’ve had in Michigan—high praise after a wonderful visit, but I haven’t been disappointed yet. If you go, say hello to the chickens!

With a country road location (just off I-196) and the farmhouse beer styles that dot the beer menu, this brewery has a French farmhouse feel to it. Our visit was during COVID rules, and it was a nice day, so we sat outside under the canopied beer garden. The brewery goes thru detailed instructions about seating, ordering beer online for on-premises consumption, etc, so a first-time visitor has some strangeness to the getting-acquainted process.
We wanted to get an overall evaluation of the beers as best as we could, so we ordered a flight of 4 beers (our choice). All of them were brewed very well to a style-plus level, and I wish we could have tried some of the other beers. The Bière de Coupage was the notable beer among our selections. I should have looked to see if it was bottled for take-home.
There are some snacks available to be ordered, but no food menu. This is a nice place with very good beers so that we'll visit again when in the area.
