Retired? I bought a Crowler of it today, 2/24/2021 on site at the brew house. Taken in a tall stemmed tulip glass.
Orange copper in color, a bit cloudy. The foamy cap is linen white, 1f, some web lacing.
Belgian yeast, light and citrus fruits, and some alcohol make the aroma.
Sturdy malted base with the yeast underneath. Candied orange and spices. The light fruits, pear and apple, round out the finish.
Medium plus in body with a slightly syrupy feel. It’s deceptively strong. Gently tart and funky. The flavors and malt last.
A good brew but at 8.3% abv I can’t imagine revisiting it often.
