A New England IPA packed and stacked with tropical hop aromas. We dipped into our bag of tricks to bring you a juicy NEIPA, smooth-bodied and low in bitterness. Not shy with the dry-hop of Vic Secret, Enigma & Motueka, expect aromas of passionfruit, lime pineapple & melon.

Copenhagen 2/2 2021. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Salt’s usual design with a net consisting of hexagons on a orange background combined with some whirling, wave-like patterns.
Pours opaque hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as very fine, almost transparent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a gentle sweet fruity odor mingling with a citric scent. Pineapple and passion fruit. Tangerine and lime.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, smooth, creamy yet lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Middle of the road NEIPA. Well balanced and easy to drink.

440ml Can from Tesco, Glasgow (£3):
Pale golden with quite a thick, foamy white head about 3cm tall that settles just over 1cm with plenty lacing on the sides too. It's a fresh nose wit subtle mango, peach & background tropical notes alongside some faint citrus & quite a dank smelling finish. The taste was very similar, perhaps a touch fresher with lots of mango & peach, or age & citrus through the middle with zesty flavours then pineapple & tropical touches to finish. Its medium bodied with slightly stronger carbonation that expected & a tiny bit of fizz from the middle on. The balance was great & it was easy to drink too; fresh, dank & juicy throughout.

Salt n Pomona Island Shoop NEIPA. Can.
War of the roses collab.
L3.5 Classic NEIPA hazy, head not great, wispy, patchy & a few random bubbles
S3.5 Spicy nose, with very very low level onion/ Hopefully doesn't come through on the palate
T3.5 Humm, lots of bitterness, not much else. Not horrid but not great either.
F4.25 Excellent carbonation & good medium body.
O3.5 I am attracted to collabs but they often underdeliver. No exception. Too many cooks...
