Presentation: Impressive picture of an estate (Castle Springs Estate, where the beer is brewed). No freshness date.
Appearance: Slightly hazy golden with a white frothy head that retains well.
Smell: Semi-aromatic malt with hints of noble hop and grain.
Taste: Rich malt of toasted munich, grain, bread and light husk up front with a perfectly balanced and even hop bitterness. The aftertaste is mostly toasted grainy malt and husk.
Notes: Excellent use of the munich malt, nice balance all around. Other than the haze this makes an almost perfect Munich-Style Lager. Recently won third place in the Light Lager Category at the Great Northeast International Beer Festival.
