16oz can purchased 10/29/21 from Taylor's Pantry in Sioux Falls, SD into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
L: Pours a deep, hazy dark tangerine orange with a 3 finger fluffy eggshell white head with cap. A large yeast wave slowly cascades to glass bottom. Head remains stiff going rocky. Excellent retention. No visible carbonation. Loads of sticky lacing and banding.
S: Big mango, pineapple, papaya, light pine, esters. Very very light coconut. (Simcoe!)
T: Taste follows smell directly in it's footprints with the additions of sweet rolled oats, passion fruit and a bit less pine.
F: Pillowy, gentle and an inviting sumptuous medium-bodied mouthfeel with a med-fast finish. It is not drying. Very delightful.
O: Sawyer's website has this beer at 6.1%ABV. The cans I got display a 5.7%ABV marking. Nonetheless it is extremely easy drinking and the delicate, friendly flavors all compliment one another. It is very well balanced and is excellent in it's style.
