Pours moderately hazed and medium gold. Excellent fluffy head. Good retention and lacing.
Aromas of pineapple, peach, and modestly sweetened cracker malts.
Lightly sweet pale malts on the tip of the tongue. Solid grass and floral hopping with some tropical flavors in midstream. Just a bit of resiny hop at the finish. Skewed toward the IPA/APA line, but just enough restraint to keep it as an APA.
Smooth and somewhat creamy, with a moderate finish, it still finishes fairly dry.
This is a sneaky good APA. The rank and file of the style tend to be too restrained in the name of providing the required balance. No restraint here It's definitely an APA, but it doesn't shy away from flavor. A little hoppy perhaps, but not outside the boundaries of the style.
