My girlfriend and I went here last night about 45 minutes prior to closing. They are mostly known for their NEIPA's and fruited smoothie style sours. It was pretty quiet and they were playing Melvins on the stereo which was cool. I had a Helles on the side pull, which was served without any foam (boo), so I asked another server to top it off, which she did nicely. It was a very well done clean Helles. I also had the 100lb Chimp NEIPA which was quite nice. Full of hop flavor, balanced, nice chewy mouthfeel. My girlfriend had the Hammock Hang fruited sour made with bananas, mango, lactose and dragonfruit and she loved it and I thought it was really good. A nice balance of Sweet and tart with a velvety mouthfeel, although a full glass would give me heartburn. The vibe was really relaxed. Next to a dollar tree with shared parking in a somewhat sketchy area of town. Parking seemed limited to about 15 cars maybe. Half pours (6-10 oz depending on the beer) were from $3 (for the helles) to $4.75 for the triple IPA, full pours from $5.75-8.25 and the barrel aged stouts at 14% were $6-8. They do have a list of beer to go, but I didn't check that out. They have pretzels, but do encourage people to bring in or order their own food.

Went on a Friday afternoon around 4:00pm. Not real busy but parking lot was. They share a lot with Dollar Tree next door. Found parking north of Dollar Tree. No line at the bar and had a discussion with the server and settled on two NEIPA half pours (8ozs). Both were very tasty. Having time constraints I asked about their takeout selection and she helped me with the patience of Job. I left with 16 different 16 oz cans of brews. Can’t wait to sample them. The experience was highly enjoyable and I recommend a visit; I believe you will also enjoy the experience.
Update. Have gone through half of my “take homes”. The NEIPAS are truly stellar. Loved them all. West Coast IPAs not bad, but there is room for improvement. 11/25 is stout release day and I will be there. Interested in how they do in this style.

Number one spot in GR for delicious juice bombs and sours on tap and in cans to go.

Light, comfortable and airy room, friendly and helpful staff and moderate amounts of parking right around the place.

12 on tap mostly NEIPA/sours, plus 7 NEIPA options to go in cans when I visited.

Highly recommended spot…well worth a visit

Was told it s very crowded during peak times.

Went in after a rally for Ukraine and it was packed. The line was long but moved pretty fast. They had two BA stouts on tap as well as a barleywine, which puts the selection better than most. Obviously they have IPAs and assorted other styles.
The seating is very limited, most of it was long tables with benches that forced me to sit next to someone I didn’t know. Turned out okay though.
No food is served but there was a pizza truck available.
Kids are welcome and they have a good sized area set aside for families with a play area. Nice I guess, but doesn’t help the vibe.

We stopped here to try their beers. The place is located along a busy commercial street. Parking is to the side and rear. There are some picnic tables in the grass at the front of the building. The interior is a large open space. A long bar has some seating, plus there are a number of long community tables and a lounge area. The beer equipment is visible thru a window wall. We liked the vibe. Our visit was mid-afternoon on a Sunday and they were not busy. Service was good ordering at the bar.

The brewery specializes in NEIPAs and IPAs, although they had an Octoberfest celebration going on and had several German beer styles available, plus hot pretzels. We are partial to German styles so we ordered a sampler flight of those three (Marzen, Pils and Festbier) and one NEIPA. All were brewed very well to style, and we gave a 4.0 rating to each. There were 11 beers and one seltzer available, plus soft drinks for the non-beer drinkers. Packaged snacks (popcorn) plus the hot pretzels are available, but the brewery is also food friendly. This place is highly recommended.

Killer neighborhood pub vibe. Lots of excellent beers of a huge variation in styles. You have to order at the bar so no servers are really taking care of you during your stay which is kind of annoying. Overall I love the beer from here and the taproom is impressive to me. Cheers.

Stopped by at 5 on a Thursday. Space is open, high ceiling, lots of windows and white minimalist design. Straight bar with around a dozen seats, communal tables behind. Small outdoor seating at picnic tables, but it is out front between the building and street, so not exactly a draw.

The beer is the star here, with a lineup of almost exclusively NEIPAs and fruited smoothie sours.

The beers I tried were all excellent. I like that they do half pours for pretty much half price, so you can try more varieties without having to pay a premium for a short pour. Full pours were 6-7.50, with the higher end for DIPAs and the sours.

The only downside is that it is a bit out of walking distance from the downtown core. They do have a decent amount of parking in a lot they share with another store.

I highly recommend making time to try this one, and it will be on my short list of must-dos for future trips to GR

I visited Arvon Brewing while in Grand Rapids a couple weeks ago and it was one of the highlights of my trip. They had 12 beers on tap when I visited: 2 lagers, 4 IPAs, 5 kettle sours and one imperial stout. The widest range in the world? Perhaps not. But the quality! Everything was good from the helles lager on up; the double NEIPA was outstanding, and the almond-walnut-graham cracker-blackberry sour was a thing to behold indeed.

They've got a clean modern taproom, all white with a concrete bar. They've got mostly picnic table style seating, but also some conversation circles; there's plenty of seating outside too. Whole brew facility is visible through windows - capital! The service was perfectly cromulent as well.

This has a spacious (for Michigan) interior with some outdoor seating. I visited during summer’s heatwave, and appreciated the air conditioning. Tucked next to an auto parts store. They sell cans to go of their weekly releases, along with a lengthy tap list of incredible beers.

Very new place, next to a dollar store. Medium small taproom of a somewhat minimal modern style, interior wise. Lots of cloudy IPAs, some New England style, some with oats and others. Overall these are not my favorite styles and will rate the beers an overall, not bad.
