I'm drinking this from a plastic cup (DW is on the fritz), poured out of a can. I'm used to stouts on nitro. So the thing that jumps out is acid. The flavor is bitter, then coffee, then a sweet note that holds and turns bitter. I'd like to try this on nitro before I made a decision. Shaking the glass to burn off some of the carbonation improves the taste.

Worked the contents of a pint can into a clear Imperial pint glass. Actually, it wasn't much work, as there was no head despite plenty of carbonation. The stout is a dark brown, but it is brown and a few shades from black. There was a very small and very brief head that might have been tan. The aroma is more appealing as there are roasted malts assisted by the smell of oats reminiscent of opening a fresh box of Cheerios. The taste is pleasant, just as the smell, a nice combination of roasted malt and oats. A bit of hops can also be detected. The biggest negative is the lack of a body, which adversely effects mouthfeel and the overall. It's pleasant enough, but some more body would make it so much better.

Picked up a single 16 oz can at Wegmans. Was Intrigued by the can and thought it would be good for a winter night. Smoked oatmeal stout is very smoky and almost too much. Very little mocha or caramel. I get a faint coffee smell and taste but overall mostly smoke. Beer is pretty easy to drink and has a light feel to it. I won’t be searching for more.

This beer is opaque and pours a very dark mahogany color. The aroma is sweet and smokey. The taste is hardy, bitter and dry. It has a strong smokey flavor with undertones of chocolate and coffee.

7/31/19...pours dark brown approaching black with scarcity of foam. Modest oat background notes. Light vanilla too. Dark malty flavor, oat background w/ maple and molasses. Quite smooth. Mellow. Nice.

From the brewery website: “OATMEAL STOUT (5.5%). There’s something compelling about a darker beer that drinks lighter, one that can be enjoyed all year round but especially during the crisp seasonal transition from Winter to Spring. Silky, roasted, dark chocolate notes envelop this low-alcohol stout, which finishes smooth with minimal bitterness.”
