Cara Cara Orange IPA

Maybe a deliberately fruited IPA will taste better than some that taste fruity without fruit. At least this one divulges that actual fruit has been added. A pint can has been emptied into a clear glass liter mug. A rather translucent light colored amber liquid is now on display. There's a nicely enduring white head atop. The smell is muddled, as orange may not be a natural complement to hops and malt, at least for the nose. It does work a little better as a taste addition. This drinks refreshingly smooth, with a good mouthfeel. Not particularly IPA tasty, but not bad. It has a unique finish. There, the orange combines with the hops to make a special finish that makes this, otherwise an ordinary AIPA, special enough to merit a try.
