Although it's mildly hazy, its 9.3% ABV puts this into the Imperial IPA category. The pour that emptied a pint can's contents into a clear glass Imperial pint mug went perfectly. There was almost no off-white head, even at room temperature. Although not pungent, there is some malt and hops for the nose to catch. The brew is orange-amber, bright and moderately cloudy. To taste, there is a malt based backbone with another unidentified starch contributing. The hops are citrusy/piney and although there's no sharp bite, there's enough hops to make this tasty. The ABV is pleasantly included, it doesn't really become evident until it hits the esophagus and warms it. Overall, this drinks like a West Coast IPA, without the sharper bite. That makes it a pleasant way to pound a pint with this much potency.
