Cold IPA
Brewed with lager yeasts, boasting hop-forward flavor while retaining a crisp drinkability. Golden-yellow in color and features an assertive bitter bite with aromas of citrus, finishing with a boldly clean and dry mouthfeel.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight with my old hockey teammate whilst in the area for my daughter's Natty gymnastics meet at Ursinus College. It poured a slightly hazy golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had nice hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with crisp malt base and bright hop profile. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer!

On tap at the source.
A - Light gold colored pour that almost resembles a Pilsner. Nice thin creamy layer of white resting on too and low carbonation.
S - Lots of crisp citrus on the nose with a slight bit of biscuity malt on the nose.
T - Lots of juicy citrus that gradually morphs to a bitter grapefruit finish that picks up steam after the sip for a long, lingering bitter finish.
M - Light medium body with prickly carbonation.
O - This goes down really easy and would be great on a hot day.

16oz can purchased from the fridge as a single for $3.99. Canned on 06/09/2023, so this beer is 5 1/2 weeks old.
Look: Pale gold bordering on straw color with a very faint haze. It almost has a champagne-like carbonation and rising bubble effect. There was a rocky off-white head of a finger that dissipated to a thin ring around the rim.
Smell: NIce aroma - lots of citrus including grapefruit. I also get floral notes and some pine. After swirling, a distinct green bell pepper note.
Taste: It's very nice. Super drinkable. Up front, it has a nice fruity and floral presence that is light and crisp. The finish is super pithy and resinous and the bitterness lingers long and leaves a significant drying effect on the palate. The bitterness grows steadily with increased consumption.
Feel: It's like medium minus in terms of body. What's interesting about this beer is that you could easily not realize that you are drinking a 7.2% ABV beer.
Overall: Only my fourth Cold IPA. I'm not sure how it compares with the other ones. This is definitely solid, perhaps not as complex as some of the others. Nonetheless, very drinkable and enjoyable.
