From a tap and presented in an almost full clear pint glass it came. It's a light and bright copper-amber and it's somewhat translucent. There's no head, as that's the Philly way of serving draft beers. There's a pleasant malt/hop balanced aroma. It's not spectacular, but it's nice. True, too, of the taste. Malty, but not sweet, eventually the hops take over, bringing a solid earthy and piney quality. The mouthfeel is light, but in a good way, as there's enough body to carry the heaviness of the earthy hops. Almost no glass lacing gets added to the visual. It may not be spectacular, but this is one solid American Pale Ale.
