I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight with my old hockey teammate whilst in the area for my daughter's Natty gymnastics meet at Ursinus College. It poured a hazy golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had nice hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with crisp malt base and bright hop profile. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer!

The good, there's a nice hoppy aroma forthcoming after cracking open a pint can. The bad, the pour to empty a pint can's contents into a clear glass liter mug must be paused to account for the massive stark white foam produced. The ugly, the irregular receding of the foam, leaving only an irregular pattern of glass lacing behind. The color of the brew is golden amber. The piney hop aroma doesn't completely get through to the taste. There's some of that, but this is obviously muted by a backbone of wheat and/or oats, rather than barley malt, which makes the better counterbalance. This is not for a serious West Coast IPA lover. It's more for someone that really doesn't like the earthiness and hoppiness of a real one.
