A: Pours a crystal clear medium to dark ruby reddish brown in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate garnet red + amber + mahogany colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense creamy foamy tan head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thick film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of earthy + spicy + herbal + citrus/grapefruit pith hops over the top of slightly stronger than moderate aromas of toasted + bready + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. Light aromas of lager yeast.
T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of toasted + bready + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of lager yeast. Finally there are moderate flavors of earthy + spicy + herbal + citrus/grapefruit pith hops which impart a light to moderate amount of bitterness which lingers for awhile then finishes relatively clean.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth and slightly soft with a relatively clean finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a slightly soft mouthfeel that I wish was just a touch more crisp. Enjoyable malt and hop flavors + aromas and decently balanced.
