Appearance: Pours pitch black with just a thin tan film; no retention and minimal lacing
Smell: Roasted tones with chocolate and maple; Bourbon and vanilla tones support
Taste: Roast and chocolate forward with the vanilla and maple adding sweetness; through the middle, the Boubon emerges but is counterbalanced by the hops to produce a somewhat dry finish
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with low carbonation
Overall: Good use of the hops here to keep the sweetness in check
