This is a local brewery not far from my home. Like to always support the locals. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass. Appearance is hazy as it should be. Doesn't have the big, rich foamy hefeweizen head as expected. Flavor is very good, with banana, clove and coriander. This could have been a good beer, I really enjoyed the flavor profile. The major flaw is that is a watery beer, fix that and you'll have a very good beer.

A: Pours a cloudy/hazy yellow color. A white head forms with good retention. Light lace is left behind.
S: A doughy and toasted malts aroma up front and fairly dominate. A bit of the traditional banana and clove spice. With a mineral and almost sulfur like aroma going on. Which is not uncommon in a Hefe, but not necessarily my favorite.
T: Again that toasted and doughy malt character. Banana and clove, with spicy phenolics. That mineral/sulfur character is here as well. Which is maybe a touch of DMS, but not enough to really interfere, but enough to notice.
M/O: A medium body, with crisp carbonation. That becomes fairly smooth. Easy enough to drink. I can come back to this when in the mood.
Not a bad Hefe at all, there is some mineral characteristics that might be some DMS, but I have also gotten that from other more well known examples of the style as well. Though, overall, its just kind of middle of the road. Especially for local, regional, and imports. Its pretty much down on that list. Not to say this is bad, in anyway, just not one I would reach for with many other excellent options available.

Received on tap with light, yellow, cloudy appearance. Minimal head and some lacing. Nose is grainy with hints of spice and banana. I found the taste excellent and well balanced between the wheat, coriander, and banana flavors of a typical hefe. Very drinkable and refreshing beer. Klaus is making some really good German beers, and this one won’t disappoint.

Pours a hazy light yellow color with a thin foamy head. Head retention is mild. Lacing is good. Aroma of German yeasts, coriander, banana and very mild clove. Nicely blended hefe. Actually light on the yeasty flavor, nice amount of coriander, mild banana and clove. Lighter bodied with moderate to heavy carbonation.
