Had this beer from tap at the brewery poured into a tall pilsner glass. Copper brown color with a nice fluffy initial head and good lacing. Toast and malt smell and taste. A bit of chocolate and a nice slightly bitter finish. Decent dunkel!

Poured in pint from local brewery. It is like a dark tea at sunset. Nose is a little bit of chocolate, little mocha, another friend said like an early morning coffee with a light breezy feeling. Rich flavor, heavy feel and flavor considering only 4.9%. Hits a home run for the malt fans. Another great beer from Klaus. I am a fan.

Tap. Not the prettiest beer. Decent aroma but nothing that screams drink me now. Pretty good flavor--malt, maybe a bit chocolate--but not enough oomph to put it in the 4 range. Very serviceable and I'd drink again. Lots of potential so maybe they'll tinker with it.

Pours an almost clear dark brown color with a thin foamy head. Head retention is mild. Lacing is very good. Aroma of dark malts and mild nuttiness. There may some mild chocolate. Light lager taste with chocolate. Moderate to heavy carbonation.
