Drank 5/22/24
Pour is a beautiful, deep brown with a dense, rocky beige cap of foam. Good retention; cap of foam persists through the drinking experience. Good lacing.
Nose is chocolate, toffee, toasted malts, toasted bread crust, roasted coffee,
Taste follows. Rich toffee and caramel, toasted bread, toasted malt, subtle chocolate, a hint of roast / roasty bitterness.
Smooth, full bodied. Moderate carbonation

"Doppelsticke." 8% ABV. 16 fl oz can:
Crystal malt, toasted bread, deep caramel, bread crust, faint malted milk ball-redolent sweetness, amber malt, malt syrup.
On the sweet side, but still balanced enough for a sticke style beer albeit a bit too noticeably boozy.
Not the chore to drink some other high ABV German styles can be, but not exactly a brew I'd crave a second can of in a single sitting.
