Pours a very dark, opaque color with a finger width foamy head. Head retention is very good as is lacing. Smokey, cola, minty, chocolate aroma. Really smells like a Dr Pepper. Smokey chocolate cola with some mint on the end. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Unfortunately for this brewery, my standard for this style is Side Project Längst, which is hard to beat.
Pour from tap at the brewery into a small tulip glass. Dark brown with good beige head and good curtain lacing. Smokey smell and taste. Dark roasted rye flavor. Roasted malt and dark toast. Drier finish than expected. Overall a nice beer and hope to see more of this style brewed.
