Picked up a Stovepipe Crowler 9-4-22 from the taproom for $6.50. Consumed 9-6-22.
Beer poured golden orange with an okay white head.
Nose is nice, a yeasty touch of bananas and some light citrus.
Taste is a medium pilsner malt base in which the yeast phenols lend a light banana flavor. Finishes with a touch of orange and white pepper and is nicely balanced.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and fairly smooth. American brewers struggle nailing down the light bodiedness that some Belgian brewers have nailed down.
Overall i like what the brewer has got going on with the yeast and flavor profile. Not an old-country traditional Tripel but a pleasant one to quaff!
