Picked up a stovepipe crowler from the taproom 9-4-22 for $6.50.
Beer poured golden orange with a nice white head.
Nose is nice, fresh citrus and tropical fruits are prevalent.
Taste is a large malt base that is flavored nicely with orange and some gooseberry. Finishes sweet initially but the gooseberry is balancing things better with subsequent sips.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and pretty refreshing for a big brew.
Overall it took a few sips but this one grew on me. Worth a shot if you see it at the taproom.
