On tap at the brewery in Greenville, SC.
Appearance. Clear, essentially opaque black-brown body with a decent off-white head.
Aroma. Heavenly. is mild for the style, accurately suggesting moderate barrel aging effects. I had this paired with the orthogonal, non-barrel-aged Evil and can report that the barrel aging transforms this stout. It's markedly sweeter (but not overly sweet), much less smokey, and of course loaded with notes of bourbon. Given the prominent impact of the bourbon barrel aging, this is nicely harmonious and has a very well hidden high ABV. Notably smooth body.
