Poured to a BrewDog snifter.
A: Body is dark copper, with some red hues and darker black tones, pretty much like a dubbel. The head is beige and shows regular retention.
S: The aroma shows some molasses, red berries and a hint of of hops. There's no burning alcohol feeling like in most eisbocks I've had.
T: Taste starts off being slightly sweet, with tones of caramel, toffee, molasses and light fruity tone before jumping into a hop-forward ending that connects with some light roasted coffee/chocolate, connecting pretty well with the hop tones.
M: Body is medium. Carbonation is good. Alcohol presence, despite being high, it's not huge as it's more close to a higher-ABV imperial stout instead of the mouth burning eisbock feeling many leave.
O: It's for sure the best eisbock I've had - it's a style that is not meant to be loved but still, Vandoma makes it a lot easier to have.
