I could finish the 6oz sample of Social Oil Baltic porter I got.....did not like it at all. Was dark opaque with no head and no lace. The scent was almost port like.....dark fruit. The taste was similar to the scent. The mouthfeel sucked it was flat. Overall.....nope.

Arrives a dark brown color. The head is a dense cap of foam that lingers, and leaves nice lacing. The aroma is of milk chocolate, roasted malt, and mild toffe notes. The taste is similar, but a bit stronger. The mouthfeel is medium-full bodied with a creamy texture, and appropriatley mild carbonation. Overall, the is a pretty good beer. Unlike most American interpretations of the style, it is reminicent of an Eastern European Porter.
