This beer arrives a black color. The head is one inch of white foam that recedes slowly leaving rings of lacing along the side of the glass until the beer is gone. The aroma is of roasted malt, graham cracker, and chocolate. It smells a lot like a smore. The taste is similar to the aroma, but with a slight bit more roasted malt. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with lively carbonation, and a smooth texture. Overall, this is a good schwarzbeir that I will certainly drink again.

A- Very close to black. Head is one and a half fingers. Lasts well. Quite a bit of lacing.
S- Milk and dark chocolate. Faint charcoal.
T- Quite complex on the tongue. There is a flash of brown sugar sweetness up front, but it is quickly overtaken by dark chocolate and a lingering smokyness.
M- Nice light body, carbonation is just a couple shades on the aggressive side of medium.
O- A very drinkable and tasty beer. Really enjoyed this one.

I enjoyed this beer on tap during their happy hour. Sat next to a guy asking if they served any "real beer, you know Bud light or something?" The bar tender just said no.
Appearance: Pours a dark brown with a little tan head that didn't stick around for too long.
Smell: Sweet malts but not much else. Not a lot going on with the nose.
Taste: As the smell suggested, sweet malts dominated, but I was not able to detect anything else.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied and smooth. Best part of this beer.
Drinkability: Not a bad schwarz. If given the opportunity I would try some other offerings before going back to this, but I would welcome the opportunity to try it again.

Deep black, slim, cocoa-tinged head.
Cocoa and espresso nose.
Tasty dark malts, black, chocolate, ...chocolate licks into every savory sip, with dark cherries lurking below
Neatly bitter up front, then smooth.
Good gritty texture, with flavor never flagging, unlike so many other offering I've encountered here.
My notes were short, but the impression long lasting, and this, a very good and proper schwarzbier, was the best beer I've had at this pub, and one that is starting to change my thoughts on the place.
I'm heading back for more, to find out how the other lagers stack up...

Black..tan head....light roasted malts on the nose (very light)..
Medium bodied...rounded smooth....
Some mild sweeter cocoa and roasted malts o nthe taste...finishes with a light tartness...
Probably the best of the three I had here...an OK schwartzie..
