Vanilla Porter

This beer arrives an opaque brown color. The head is a quarter inch in height, and recedes slowly into a firm cap of tan foam. The aroma is of vanilla, roasted malt, and tons of milk chocolate. The taste is similar to the aroma. The chocolate malt character melds nicely with the vanilla, and the finish lasts just long enough to make me want more. The mouthfeel is full bodied with appropriately mild carbonation, and a velvety texture. Overall, this is a really good beer that I will seek out again. If this beer exemplifies the new direction the Herkimer is headed I'm all in for the ride.
