Having this beer on tap at the brewery. Served in a tulip glass, this beer draws a clear, medium to dark golden color with a nice white head that’s about 1/2 inch thick one first drawn and served. Head eventually settles to a very thick ring lining the inside of the glass at the beer's surface along with a nice thick layer of surface foam. Decent lacing. Aromas of some bready mats w/ a hint of caramel sweetness followed by some cantaloupe, honey dew melon, floral, slightly piney, and slightly resinous, dank hop notes. The hop aroma is a very fresh one too. A very similar flavor profile, with the summer bready malts With a bit of caramel sweetness that gives way to notes of cantaloupe and honeydew melon, floral, somewhat piney, slightly to somewhat resinous, dank hops. There is a good amount of bitterness here, but it is a refined bitterness. This isn’t clonk your tongue over the head and blow out it’s taste buds hop bitterness. Good balance of flavors here. As a crisp, that’s not so much smooth, just slightly frothy, medium to full body to mouth feel with moderate carbonation. Easy to drink in the way well crafted beer ought to be, with a clean finish. All the flavors when you’re quite nicely on my palate for a while after each sip for the aftertaste. A very nice beer here indeed!
