16oz can. Off center stamping mark for dating looks to be '04/28/22'.
Ruby brown colored body. One finger of light tan head retreats after a few minutes to a few separate islands and a ring. No lacing.
Aroma of roasted malts, black licorice, prune, and a bit of banana, and even less coconut.
Taste is sweet, and hot with alcohol. Flavors vary throughout the sip, with roasted malts and chocolate being the primary. As the main flavors fade, the banana flavor appears, and then some sweet coconut. Nutty coconut, chocolate, and banana in the aftertaste. Prune and/or black licorice are apparent late in the profile.
Nectar or syrup level mouth feel. Very slight alcohol burn on the tongue. Quiet carbonation.
Sweet dessert stout, heavy on the chocolate, includes other flavors of dark fruit, light banana, and coconut. Pairs well with spicy cheese.
