Body is dense, unfiltered pineapple juice gold, managing to form a brief pinky finger high white head with a minute retention.
A balanced medley of fruit aromas - tropical (pineapple), orchard (apple), citrus (orange, grapefruit) - along with some pine resin, fresh but not too sweet.
Flavour is unexpected - sweet candy flavours of pop-rocks, bubblegum, cotton candy, along with a lactose creamy taste, vanilla, somewhat of orange-creamsicle; balanced by bitter hops towards the finish, which does end up dry; there's a sizzle to the carbonation, also providing needed balance; medium-full body, it has some chewiness; the alcohol is well hidden.
An intriguing DIPA, offering up some interesting twists in it's taste and feel, very enjoyable, if just a touch cloying.
