473 ml can served fairly cold into a pint glass. Durand purchase. Canned May 25, 2023.
Appearance - Hazy golden /amber colored brew with honey brown highlights. A finger and a half of loose white head that has good retention and leaves spotty lacing.
Smell - Huge fruit punch aroma with mangos and especially lychees leading the citrus wave. Rather sweet smelling.
Taste - Quite sweet and juicy, lychee leads with a bit of mango and some cantaloupe baking things up. A bit harsh and boozy, although the ABV is a bit elevated. Very sweet, probably will be too much for some.
Mouthfeel - Medium-full bodied a bit sticky and syrupy with the noticeably light carbonation. Drinks well enough with the flavor combo.
Overall - Quite tasty brew, but very sweet with not quite enough bitterness to make this balanced and me wanting to go back for a second one. With that said one of the most prevalent uses of lychee out there.
