Can: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of chocolate and coca notes with some light peanut notes and some residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate and cocoa notes with some light peanut notes with some residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. I’m usually not a big fan of peanuts in beers but this one was well balanced.

473 ml can served cold into a tulip. Durand purchase. Canned November 16, 2023.
Appearance – Near black in color, with a huge three fingers foamy tan head. Pretty good staying power too. Small swath of lacing stays behind.
Smell – Roasty aromas, with hints of peanuts and milk chocolate. Toffee muddled in there as well.
Taste – Initially not a lot, just some milk chocolate before the peanut butter kicks in. Still not the most intense flavor, but pretty good. Some milky characteristic boiled into the flavor combo too works nicely. ABV well hidden. Caramel streak runs throughout but doesn’t really stand out anywhere.
Mouthfeel – Exceptionally smooth, low carbonation, medium bodied, sleek like silk and very easy to drink.
Overall – A well executed peanut butter stout with good but not exception depth. Would happily buy again but for the more prohibitive cost point.
