473ml can served cold into a tulip. Durand purchase and canned August 15, 2024.
Appearance - Super turbid yellowy white brew with honey brown coloring mixed in too. Three fingers of frothy and rocky off-white head and incredible head retention. Spotty lacing left behind.
Smell - Initially subdued with lots of citrus, grapefruit and passionfruit leading the way. Some pineapple and melon mixed in too leading for a sweeter aroma. Some dankness comes in later too which is inviting.
Taste - Citrusy, medium bitterness, grapefruit and orange most prominent with splashes of passionfruit too. Not the most intense flavor. A touch of greenery too.
Mouthfeel - Smooth, medium bodied, booze well hidden, but a bit hot in the mouth.
Overall - Double Triple Citra starts great, but then becomes just a bit one note and there is some surprising heat in the mouth that makes this a bit less drinkable than it otherwise would be. Still a very solid offering from Wood Brothers, but in my opinion not quite at the peak of their powers.
