473ml can served cold into a beer mug. Durand purchase and canned January 11, 2024.
Appearance - As usual a super turbid hazy yellowy gold color with a small half finger of white head. Modest staying power.
Smell - floral bouquet, wheat malt with a subtle fruity aroma, namely some stone fruit, papaya and a splash of other citrus. Not the biggest nose out there, but what is there is delightful.
Taste - Juicy nectarines, hints of mango with a wheat body that lingers on in the aftertaste. A touch of greenness and weedy qualities in the end, but generally sweet and very fruity and juice-like. Just a hint of booziness. Really well put together.
Mouthfeel - Low carbonation, medium-full bodied, this is almost straight of juice, which matches the flavor profile.
Overall - Honestly, Wood Brothers are very consistent but Swearing Helps is one of the best they have to offer. I've found that with many of their recent beers, the IPA's are solid, but it gets kicked to the next level with their DIPA's. Well worth a purchase if you can find it.
