473ml can served cold into a pint glass. Durand purchase. Canned at the end of April.
Appearance - Hazy but not turbid the way many Wood Brothers beers look and a washed out orangey gold color. A finger plus of long lived head and sparse lacing.
Smell - Tropical for sure, some passionfruit and pineapple with a medley of other citrus. Moderately intense nose.
Taste - Fairly juicy with passionfruit and pineapple leading the way, grapefruit zest overlaid a wheat malt backbone. Low bitterness up front that intensifies towards the back.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, fairly light for 15 proof beer with crisp carbonation. Drier than many especially by this brewery but works well here.
Overall - A good IPA that is different from many of the other Juice Bombs produced by the Wood Brothers. Good complimentary citrus flavors and very well balanced fruit pairings make this one of the most drinkable 7.6% ABV IPA's out there.
