473 ml can from Durand. Served cold into a pint glass.
Appearance - Almost black with a small tan head that fizzles out inside a minute.
Smell - Roasty notes, some semi-sweet chocolate and a faint hint of dark fruits.
Taste - Big roasty notes, with some coffee, dark chocolate and a smokiness as well. A little sweetness shortly afterwards.
Mouthfeel - Full bodied, low carbonation, smooth but not silky or chewy. Booze well hidden.
Overall - Quite a solid no frills stout that hides it's higher ABV quite masterfully. Well worth a try if you're in the mood for "just a Stout".
